You can manually configure Core FTP by following these steps:

 

  1. Open Core FTP, select File > Connect

    Connecting to your server using CoreFTP

  2. Fill in the form.
    Site Name can be anything. That is just to make it easy for you to remember
    Under Host / IP / URL enter your FTP server URL
    Under Username enter your FTP Username
    Password must have the password for your FTP user
    All the other fields must remain as they are

    Once that's done, click on Connect

     

  3. If your details were correct, you've now opened your account. All the details of yours can be visible in right-hand side of your middle screen


That's all for manual configuration of Core FTP, now let's jump into how you can upload files to the server.

 

  1. Locate the directory or files you want to move from your local drive and also the directory you want to upload these files to from their respective panels:

  2. From 'Your Local Drive' panel in the above picture select and drag the files you want to upload to the server where your website is and drop them in the right-hand panel. It'll take some time depending on your internet speed. Once that's completed, all your website are uploaded. 

  3. You can re-visit it to update or change anything later on
